Choosing between Portable devices and the Air Conditioning Purifiers

Portable devices may be very inexpensive or cost hundreds of dollars.  Many are not as effective as promised.  In most cases, homeowners will find that they already own an effective system for purifying the air in their home air conditioning.  If the system is not set up for air purification, the homeowner should consult with air conditioning experts who can make the needed changes to turn the system into a high powered air purifier that is able to do the following tasks:

In most instances, the larger fan used in the HVAC system is more effective at handling the air in a room than any portable device on the market.  The system is designed to cycle all the air from the home on a regular basis.  In addition the disposable filters can be more effective than any of the small devices that are sold for the purpose.

Modifying the air conditioning system to improve quality of air One simple modification of the system that the homeowner can choose is to install better quality filters.  Avoid the spun fiber filter and choose the z-fold paper filters.  HEPA filters are also available for most systems.
